How to use t-shirts as a marketing tool

T-Shirts are one of the most commonly worn pieces of clothing in this day and age. They are worn by both men and women, they are worn by the young and the old. You can turn this to your advantage, the t-shirt is a great marketing tool and you can use this to your benefit with digital printing or embroidery.

There are so many ways to use this simple piece of clothing to drive business to your company, from a prize giveaway which initially draws interest into the company for the chance of a prize and then the t-shirt with the company name or slogan as the prize itself.

Or you could hold a giveaway with a free t-shirt for the first 100 people to add their email address to your mailing list. It’s a double win for your company but because you are gaining leads and interest and when you give away the t-shirt there is an initial cost but you have someone walking around with your company name emblazed across their chest.

Another way to use a t-shirt as a marketing tool and drive business is to offer a giveaway that involves posts on a social media site, this gets people using and sharing your Twitter/Facebook/Instagram and re-posting and commenting etc. It could be a campaign that involves sharing pictures, or a campaign with prizes for the best answer to a question. Or you could just simply have a sharing campaign as you sometimes see on various social media platforms i.e. like and share our page to win a prize.

If you hold a marketing event it’s always a nice touch to have a goodie bag which you give away at the end of the event and a t-shirt is a great addition, it’s non-gender specific so it is suitable for anyone of any age and gender. It is a long-term form of advertisement as if you invest in good quality branded clothing it will last for a long time.

A well-designed t-shirt can become a wardrobe staple that people will wear over and over again. Design is key here, you could simply have your company name however you will want to create something eye catching and interesting. You could use clever design or an interesting slogan that catches people’s attention.
